Men at work at eh BBQAs usual Seavets gathered at Calshot on the first weekend of September. The first to arrive set up camp on Thursday in time to enjoy a good sail before the tide dropped later in the afternoon. Over the next 3 days, they were joined by various other members, some camping on site, a few using the onsite accommodation ( good breakfasts are reported), and others came for just a day.Paul enjoying a kebab

The sun shone some of the time, the wind blew a bit most of the time, and the rain held off. The customary barbecue was enjoyed on Saturday evening, but we had to wrap up against the rather chilly wind, and use the Fettes' campervan as a wind break.

On Sunday Richard Williams led an expedition up to Ashlett Creek, where he, Paul Fettes, Joe Coulson, Nigel Tailyour and Tony Chandler enjoyed a good lunch at the Ashlett Club which gives a warm welcome to visiting sailors - and to Peter and Ruth Tracey who cycled along to join them. Richard and Tony carried on round to Lepe before returning to Calshot.Sailing out of Ashlett Creek

A total of 31 members, their wives/husbands/partners came over the weekend and 41 windsurf launches were recorded over 4 days.
