Meeting Place: Sandbanks at the lone tree as usual. Members can also sail at Hamworthy but there is not sufficient parking for everyone. The rigging area remains good.

Parking rates for 2008 not yet available. 2007 charges £6.50 daily, 4 hours £3.50. A weekly parking permit is available for £30. To apply phone 01202 634240 or email

Organization: Members are requested to sign on and off each day at the camper van flying the Seavets flag (if we are allowed to fly it!). They will then find out the day's events.

Waiting for wind

Racing tuition - Ladies only : if any of you would like us to arrange a tuition session on racing, please let Helen or Geoff know, preferably in advance. If any expert racer would like to volunteer for this event, please let us know.

Instruction:We have arranged for an instructor from H2O Water Sports to be available on the Wednesday and Thursday afternoon to coach members on topics of their choice. This will be paid for out of Seavets funds.

Harbour Cruise: Norman Haddon will lead a cruise on Tuesday or Wednesday, depending on weather. Meeting will be at Sandbanks at 10.00 ready to sail at 11.30 ( parking charge guide above). Lunch will be at the café at Hamworthy at 12.45 to 14.00 followed by a sail back around the islands, arriving back at Sandbanks at 15.15. Timing will be the same for both days. A long board and ability to beat efficiently is essential. There will be no safety cover and those joining in do so at their own risk. Final decision on which day to sail will be made at 19.00 on Monday. Windsurfing Gear: Poole Harbour Board Sailing and H2O are offering a 10% discount at any time to Seavets (excluding boards). Cup of tea also on offer at H2O!

For non-campers the Fern Lodge Hotel at 11 Rosemount Road, Alum Chine, is again offering accommodation. The charges this year are £25.50 per person per night for bed and BIG Breakfast. Single £28. Telephone 01202 761273.
There is also a house availabe in Hamworthy which has been rented by Seavets previously. Owned by a windsurfing family, it has 3 double bedrooms, one of which is on suite, and 2 other bathrooms. There is a locked up area for vehicle and equipment. £60 - £64 per night (negotiable according to number. Telephone Dawn Skye on 01582 766410 and say that you are a Seavet.

Social: The group dinner will as usual be at "Funchal by Night" on Wednesday, meeting at 7.30pm for dinner at 8.00pm. The price will be £18.50 excluding drinks. Three bottles of House wine per table of 10 people, beer and soft drinks, including coffee, will be available and the cost divided equally. Please pay separately for any other drinks ordered.
