For once, wind and weather favoured us, with a fairly steady south westerly blowing a bit over 10 knots. As usual the coxswain and his volunteer helpers were most efficient and we laid our favoured M course using mostly laid marks.
12 Seavets had signed on, including Steve Sugden in a class of his own with a formula board. Russell Polden had volunteered to help Peter in the committee boat in the morning, and I relieved him in the afternoon, so we both sailed two races and scored average points for the races we sat out.
Alan Jackson proved unbeatable with John Ellis and Tony Goodwin swapping 2nd and 3rd places just behind. The wind swung a bit and the course was tweaked for the afternoon. Tony was first Megavet, and Joe won the Octovet class
