Swings and Roundabouts at Farmoor

Updated: Aug 2, 2021

Seavets at Farmoor July 22nd 2021

Sailors Andy Lacy, Russ Canning, Joe Coulson, Dave Gilchrist, Richard Williams and Rod Davis waited patiently during the morning for wind which filled in a little around lunchtime.

Racing was somewhat of a lottery with puffs, pauses, swings and swirls for the first two races. After a break ashore the wind became a little stronger but still variable in strength and direction.

Richard gained an unassailable lead in the first three races making the most of the wind by sailing calmly with focus whilst others pumped and stalled.

The last race saw a big pumping battle between Dave and Andy with Andy coming out on top to be second overall.
