Fair winds - 1 Oct at Farmoor

The recent spell of good weather continues and for the last schedule Seavets event at Farmoor we had light but useful winds. We had 12 Seavets sailing during the day and Russ Canning also joined us for a bit, and Andy came to say hello and take a photo (see facebook).

Joe set a figure of eight course in the north east quadrant of the lake, and the wind soon picked up to the forecast of around 11 mph from the West, occasionally SW. The top two places were a tight contest between Ady and Nick with Ady ending up the overall winner, with Richard chasing them round. It was good to see John Chubb at last this season - he just made the fourth race. Overall a good day's racing and we were all thinking we should carry on as and when the conditions suit for informal racing and sailing.

Provisional results are below and will appear in the "official results" in due course. Next event is LWA at Bray on Saturday 17 October,

Steve
