RIP Paul Fettes 1940 - 2026

It is with great sadness that we report that Paul passed away on Sunday at the age of 86.

Paul joined Seavets in 1987 and was one of the longest serving members of our club. He became one of our most active members. In April 2000 Paul was elected on to the committee, became Vice Chairman a year later and in 2002 Chairman. At the end of his three year term of office Paul remained on the committee and in 2007 was elected Honorary Treasurer, a role which he retained until 2020. He also maintained the membership records.

Many members will remember Paul and Jean as the driving force behind the very popular club members holidays to Quiberon, introduced in 2003. The campsite at Panthievre boasted a “Seavets Alley” for a couple of weeks each June while the local hostelry offered bedrooms as well as a restaurant for social evenings. Covid put an end to the visits in 2019.
