Aug 15 Farmoor - well we asked for wind

We re-scheduled racing from 1 Aug to Thursday 15th due to a lack of wind. The forecast was looking OK but on arrival the wind was already blowing over 20mph with long gusts stronger. We decided to proceed, and after much angst over sail choice the race started at 1115. Of the ten who signed on only 6 or so made it over the start line and 5 recorded a finish with at least one lap completed. The second race only had two takers - Ady and Adrian (well done!) - so did not count and there was some debate over whether the correct course had been sailed anyway, As we packed up all the shortboard sailors were arriving.

Results of the one race which will count in the Seavets series were

  1. Ady Rippington

  2. Adrian Brearley

  3. Richard Williams

  4. Tony Goodwin

  5. Nick Rose
