Our last summer series event at Farmoor was blessed with gentle but adequate winds, warm weather and the best turnout of the season. Fourteen sailors signed on plus Andy turned up to support and Dave Gilchrist brought his van full of equipment to sell as he is now sadly retiring from sailing. The forecast for 11mph southerly to south westerly winds, building a bit through the afternoon, and so it turned out. Joe set a trapezoidal course on the norrthen half of the reservoir, and planned for 3 races before lunch in case storm Amy came for lunch (she didn't!). The racing was a tussle between Nck and Ady for the top two spots, chased by Tony. After lunch the wind had not really developed, possibly slightly gustier, so we had two races and came ashore in time for tea and cake. Thanks to Joe for organising again.
