Wind at last! Farmoor 2 Sep results

The forecast 10 to 15 mph was largely bettered by the wind on the day, so for the first time this season I can say we have had a great day's racing. Seven Seavets turned up including Tony Goodwin for the second time this year. The NE wind direction made course setting a little problematic, but by the second race we found something that worked , and tweaked it again in the afternoon, The racing in the morning was led by Andy and Adrian, with a tussle between Tony, Dave and Steve for the middle order places. Gusts at times were sustained and up to the 20mph forecast. The wind dropped off over lunch, the sun came out briefly, then disappeared for more clouds and wind for the afternoon racing. Two more enjoyable races, then the sun came out and the wind dropped again as we returned to base for tea and cake.
