We have decided that, regrettably, we are unable to run a racing series this year. First, our fleet had been gradually, but inexorably, falling to a point where our events were becoming unviable and clubs were unwilling to host a meeting for just a handful of sailors. Secondly, I have decided to retire from Race Officer duties and so it is just not possible to run events ourselves.
However, the LWA is running a full programme and has introduced 7.8m class this year. The 1st event is at Fisher Green on 17th April and you can find details on their website. Entry fees are £20 and you can prebook and pay online in advance or turn up and pay on the day. Third party insurance is needed (as it is for Seavets events) and a recognisable sail number.
Dates for Weymouth, Poole and Calshot have been published in the blog below, and outside these events there are also details for suitable dates forties at these locations. So members can contact each other directly to meet up to go sailing.
Seavets members may register on this site by clicking the Log In box above, and can then access the members only pages: News, and Shop and For Sales. You will also be able to comment on posts to the blog below.

While racing and our 'organised' social sailing events came to a halt in 2020, Richard Williams and his cruising group were busy cycling as well as cruising whenever possible. Details of their exploits are in the blog below.
