Winter Lunch 15 February 2024

The Winter Lunch at the Wheatsheaf was attended by twenty Seavets and as always was a sociable occasion. We took the opportunity to award some of our trophies which we have accumulated over the years and were not awarded since Covid. The winners were

Andy Lacy, 1st Megavet, the Dennis Heywood Cup

Ady Rippington, 1st Supervet, the Research Into Ageing Challenge Cup (not present)

Simon Barker, 1st Veteran, the Goran Nyman Rose Bowl

Joe Coulson, the Chairman's Cup for organising the racing series

Richard Williams, the Myrtle Axe Cup for completing every race in this years series

We also to the opportunity to wish Joe a Happy 88th (yes 88th!) Birthday. We were lucky he could could make it as he cracked a rib skiing a week or so ago, but apparently his doctor says he can return to the slopes in a couple of weeks.

The minutes of the AGM will be posted here and facebook. Wishing everyone a great2024 - fair winds and good company.
