Farmoor Racing, 1st June

Ten Seavets arrived for the event at Farmoor on Thursday June 1st. Only nine sailed with one earning the inaugural virtual wooden spoon by forgetting his wetsuit!

The wind was a cool 5 to 25 MPH North Easterly with big swings in direction; three sailors managed to fall in to windward when sails were backed. All but Russ Canning fell in at some point as 20 mph + gusts curled over the trees and clubhouse on the windward shore to hit down on the water and spread out giving rapid planing conditions in short bursts. The trickiest bit was gusts arriving as we gybed.

We were very pleased to have had a fast and challenging sail.
