Mince pies Eton

Nine Seavets made it to our annual bike ride and pub lunch at the Palmer;s Arms, Dorney. Richard who had organised everything was unable to join us as he had a chest infection. The weather was dry and bright and we followed the normal route along the Jubilee Channel to Eton where we consumed the traditional mince pies on the bridge with a little hot lubrication (mulled wine this year - sorry Richard: not cider!). Then back along the Thames and Dorney Lake (entrance near club house still blocked) and over the Thames for a quick coffee at Bray Lake with Andy whom we last saw at Portland Harbour in the summer with his winging kit and some pals. We made it back to the pub in time for an excellent lunch as planned. So a successful ride, no punctures or mishaps and only a modicum of mud.
